This is a common bacterial infection that is present on the human skin. It commonly causes abscesses and boils and can be transmitted by sexual contact. Besides staph is a common agent in food poisoning, when prepared by someone with boils in his / her hand.

Many laboratory tests are contaminated with this bacteria, hence certain tests that report staph aureus should be taken with some degree of doubt especially when the person does not have the symptoms.

Symptoms

Most staph infection produce pus. Whether from boils, abscesses or private parts, look out for discharge that contains pussy materials.
